I'm not much of a resolution person, but the new year always seems to invoke such a sense of novelty, doesn't it? I'm proud to say I've kept most of my previous resolutions (probably because one was not to make weight-related resolutions, haha).
One year I resolved to be more thoughtful. That's generic enough, but I found I did a lot more thinking about others. I think it's made me a nicer, more likeable person.
A more tangible one was from two years ago: That my Facebook profile picture would always have me in it. My kids can be in it with me, but I won't post a picture of just my kids as my profile. Now that Facebook has introduced the cover photos I can post a great picture of the kids while keeping myself in the little box, haha, but I'm still sticking to it!
This year, I've taken on a few challenges:

Yet another reason why I don't make weight-related #resolutions: Pie for breakfast. Check out #Projectlife365 if you're interested in taking part. I'll be posting weekly wrap-ups of my pictures.

Another project is through a blog that was featured on theSITSgirls. It's a virtual monthly 5K. Essentially, you do the 5K on your own and then post your time to the blog. Check it out! I believe it's only running until June. I thought it would be great incentive to get moving - it will also be great to see my time improve (hopefully, that is!).
What are your plans for the new year? I'd love to hear them!

I'm popping over from my website where you visited and wrote a comment. I have a couple of resolutions this year. One is the 26 acts of kindness expanded to 52 so I have one for each week. I'm praying more and back to exercising. Patience is also something I'm working on. I like your website and the blog is quite thoughtful. I'm jealous of the photo blog focus. I will have to put that off until I have a bit more time--say 18 months till I retire. 2 of my daughters are doing this on a single blog. Have a great New Year. I will be popping back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting! Praying is so important - and probably something we can never really do enough. :) The 365 project will be done on my Blackberry, so it shouldn't be too time-intensive. Photography will never be the focus (no pun intended!) of this blog! :)
DeleteI love the idea of a 5k on your own! I can't run outdoors with the weather we are having but I can't wait for it to warm up and the air to clear out for me to try it.

I know! It's been snowing every day in January here, I think, and I haven't gotten out! It's not great that I failed my plan in January, haha! I'm still going to do it - just not at the risk of my personal safety. :)
